Biscuit Cup Freakshakes

 

Freakshakes are the craziest milkshakes ever and they are going to get hotter as summer approaches. It’s the perfect time to indulge in a nostalgic long sip of your favourite milkshake with all your friends at your party. - the ultimate indulgence.

We have prepared a recipe so you can do these yourself or order the chocolate lined biscuit cups from us directly or hire out our wooden stand and do it yourself or ask us to do it for you!

 Recipe

Serves: 12

Preparation Time: 60 minutes

Ingredients    
       
For the biscuit cups:
170 g icing sugar  
250 g butter, cubed  
500 g flour  
2   egg, beaten  
2 c chocolate, melted  
       
For the orange and dark chocolate shake:
2 c orange juice  
2 c chocolate ice cream  
2 c melted dark chocolate  
2 tsp vanilla extract  
2 Tbs orange zest  
       
For the white chocolate and hazelnut shake:
2 c melted white chocolate  
2 c chopped hazelnuts  
2 c vanilla ice-cream  
2 c vanilla milk  
       
For the milk chocolate shake:
2 c melted milk chocolate  
2 c chocolate ice-cream  
2 c milk  
       
For the garnishes:
marshmallows
doughnuts    
candied nuts
candied orange peel
whipped cream
spare melted chocolate to dribble over
100's & 1000's

Method

Prepapration time: 30min
For the biscuit cups:

Preheat oven to 180°C. 

Cream icing sugar and butter until pale. Add flour gradually until it becomes bread crumb consistency.

Slowly add beaten egg until a dough forms.

Mould into a disc, wrap with cling wrap and refrigerate for 30min.

Roll out dough and line cups. Blind bake for 15 minutes using parchment paper and rice or beans to weight it.

Remove beans and un-mould the cups. Bake further until golden brown.

Melt the chocolate and once the biscuit cups have completely cooled, spoon in chocolate until the inside is completely coated and cool.

Repeat this step once more to ensure that the cups are well protected and sealed.

For the shakes: 
For each Freakshake flavour, combine the ingredients into a blender until well mixed and pour into completely chilled chocolate lined biscuit cups.

Add whipped cream and any goodies or sweet treats available to garnish.

Going over the top is essential, so have fun with it!
